Senate Legislative Activity

On Monday, February 9, following any Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of morning business until 5:00pm. At 5:00pm, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session to consider Calendar #10, the nomination of Michael P. Botticelli to be Director of the National Drug Control Policy, with 30 minutes of debate to be equally divided. Upon the use or yielding back of time, the Senate will proceed to vote on the nomination.

House Legislative Activity

On Monday, February 9, the House will meet at 1:00pm in pro forma session, with no votes expected.

On Tuesday, February 10, the House will meet at 12:00pm for morning hour and at 2:00pm for legislative business, with votes postponed until 6:30pm.  The following legislation will be considered under suspension of the rules:

  1. H.R. __ – National Aeronautics and Space Administration Authorization Act of 2015;
  2. H.R. 719 – TSA Office of Inspection Accountability Act of 2015;
  3. H.R. 720 – Gerardo Hernandez Airport Security Act of 2015; and
  4. H.R. 710 – Essential Transportation Worker Identification Credential Assessment Act

On Wednesday, February 11, the House will meet at 10:00am for morning hour and at 12:00pm for legislative business, with votes postponed until 6:30pm.  The following legislation will be considered under suspension of the rules:

  1. H.R. 431 – To award a Congressional Gold Medal to the Foot Soldiers who participated in Bloody Sunday, Turnaround Tuesday, or the final Selma to Montgomery Voting Rights March in March of 1965, which served as a catalyst for the Voting Rights Act of 1965

The House will also consider S. 1 – Keystone XL Pipeline Approval Act (Subject to a Rule).

On Thursday, February 12, the House will meet at 10:00am for morning hour and at 12:00pm for legislative business. The House will consider H.R. 644 – Fighting Hunger Incentive Act of 2015, Rules Committee Print (Subject to a Rule).

On Friday, February 13, the House will meet at 9:00am for legislative business, with last votes expected no later than 3:00pm. The House will consider H.R. 636 – America’s Small Business Tax Relief Act of 2015, Rules Committee Print (Subject to a Rule).
