Time for Tax Reform?

With the GOP’s healthcare reform efforts having fallen apart, Members and staff from the House Ways and Means Committee will likely now turn their full time and attention to another key priority: tax reform. See our analysis of the current landscape here.

This Week’s Hearings:

• On Tuesday, March 28, the House Ways and Means Committee has scheduled a mark-up hearing to consider H. Res. 186 – Of inquiry directing the Secretary of the Treasury to provide to the House of Representatives the tax returns and other specified financial information of President Donald J. Trump.
• On Wednesday, March 29, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Energy has scheduled a hearing titled “Federal Energy Related Tax Policy and its Effects on Markets, Prices, and Consumers.”
