LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITY
FY 2015 Appropriations Action
Senate appropriators will continue their work on FY 2015 spending bills this week despite significant setbacks last week when the committee postponed its consideration of the Energy and Water bill and the Agriculture-CJS-THUD minibus (H.R. 4660) was effectively pulled from the Senate floor when leaders could not agree on an amendment process. Discussions will continue this week in an effort to bring the bill up for the first Senate vote on a regular-order appropriations bill in over three years.
On Tuesday, the House Rules Committee will consider the procedure under which the FY 2015 Energy and Water Appropriations bill will be brought to the House floor when Congress returns from the July 4 recess.
