Ahead of this Tuesday’s release of President Obama’s FY 2015 Budget request, Senate Armed Services Ranking Member James Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) and House Armed Services Chair Howard “Buck” McKeon warned last week the congressionally mandated spending caps in FY 2015 would not be overturned, including for the Defense Department’s budget (capped at $521.4 billion).
This Week’s Hearings:
- Tuesday, March 4: The House Armed Services Committee will hold a hearing titled, “The Posture of the U.S. Pacific Command and U.S. Strategic Command.”
- Wednesday, March 5: The Senate Armed Services Committee will hold a hearing titled, “Defense Authorization Request for Fiscal Year 2015 and the Future Years Defense Program.”
- Wednesday, March 5: The Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Strategic Forces will hold a hearing titled, “Nuclear Forces and Policies.”
- Wednesday, March 5: The House Armed Services Committee will hold a hearing titled, “The Fiscal Year 2015 National Defense Authorization Budget Requests from the U.S. Central Command and U.S. Africa Command.”
- Thursday, March 6: The Senate Armed Services Committee will hold a hearing titled, “The Fiscal Year 2015 National Defense Authorization Budget Requests from the U.S. Central Command and U.S. Africa Command.
- Thursday, March 6: The House Armed Services Committee will hold a hearing titled, “The Fiscal Year 2015 National Defense Authorization Budget Request from the Department of Defense.”
