This Week’s Hearings:

  • Tuesday, September 10: The Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing on the nominations of Ms. Wanda Felton to be First Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States and Ms. Katherine M. O’Regan to be an Assistant Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
  • Tuesday, September 10: The House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing on reducing waste, fraud, and abuse in housing programs and will examine recommendations made by the Inspector General of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
  • Wednesday, September 11: The Senate Banking Subcommittee on National Security and International Trade and Finance will hold a hearing titled, “Assessing the Investment Climate and Improving Market Access in Financial Services in India.”
  • Wednesday, September 11: The House Financial Services Subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Trade will hold a hearing on the history of the Federal Reserve titled, “The Fed Turns 100: Lessons Learned over a Century of Central Banking.”
  • Wednesday, September 11: The Joint Economic Committee will hold a hearing on the current economic outlook, with Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors Jason Furman testifying.
  • Thursday, September 12: The Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing titled “Essential Elements of Housing Finance Reform.”
  • Thursday, September 12: The House Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) semi-annual report to Congress, with CFPB Director Richard Cordray testifying.

  • Thursday, September 12: The Commodity Futures Trading Commission will hold a meeting of its Technology Advisory Committee (TAC). The meeting will focus on SDR reporting, SEFs, and the Commission’s upcoming concept release on the automated trading environment.
