The Senate will convene today, Monday, June 10, at 2:00 pm. After any Leader remarks, the Senate will continue with consideration of the motion to proceed to the Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill (S. 744). Until 5:00 pm, time will be divided, and at 5:00 pm, the Senate will resume consideration of S. 954, the Farm Bill, post-cloture. The Senate will hold a vote at 5:30 pm on Sen. Patrick Leahy’s (D-VT) S.A. 998 (on internet projects in rural areas). A voice vote is expected on the amendment. After this vote, there will be a roll call vote on passage of the full Farm Bill, as amended. After disposition of the Farm Bill, the Senate will return to consideration of the Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill with Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) or his designee controlling up to one hour.
Today, Monday, June 10, the House will meet in pro forma session at 3:00 pm. On Tuesday, June 11, the House will meet at 12:00 pm for morning hour and 2:00 pm for legislative business. Votes will be postponed until 6:30 pm. Legislation Considered Under Suspension of the Rules will include: (1) H.R. 251 – South Utah Valley Electric Conveyance Act; (2) H.R. 993 – Fruit Heights Land Conveyance Act; (3) H.R. 1157 – Rattlesnake Mountain Public Access Act; (4) H.R. 1158 – North Cascades National Park Service Complex Fish Stocking Act; and (5) H.R. 723 – Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed Protection Act.
On Wednesday, June 12, and Thursday, June 13, the House will meet at 10:00 am for morning hour and 12:00 pm for legislative business. On Friday, June 14, the House will meet at 9:00 am for legislative business, and last votes are expected no later than 3:00 pm. Legislation Considered Under Suspension of the Rules will include (1) H.R. 634 – Business Risk Mitigation and Price Stabilization Act of 2013, as amended; (2) H.R. 2167 – Reverse Mortgage Stabilization Act of 2013; (3) H.R. 742 Swap Data Repository and Clearing House Indemnification Correction Act of 2013; and (4) H.R. 1038 – Public Power Risk Management Act of 2013.
